Legislature has pushed for more spots for California students and provided funding. he University of California is seeking to add more than 20,000 students by 2030 and plans to get there by expanding online and summer programs and by concentrating growth at certain campuses, including Merced and Riverside. Those details are included in UC’s 2030 Capacity Plan, which will be presented this week to the university’s Board of Regents.
